At times my Mediacom remote seems non-responsive. Any suggestions?
It could be a few things; check the batteries and replace if necessary and make sure that the "cable" light is flashing when you are trying to change the channels or control your cable box. If it is not flashing, press the cable button and try again. If that doesn't work, Mediacom can replace the remote at any one of our local offices.Find out more about the Mediacom Remote and remote codes, go to www.mediacomcable.com/about_news.html and click on Pause Magazine.

Unfortunately Mediacom limits the number of DVR's in a home to one (1) a the current time. Due to the high demand for DVRs, we try to get everyone who would like a DVR to have one. We hope that we will be able to offer more DVRs to our customers soon.

What is Spyware and how does it get on my computer?
Spyware are small programs that are downloaded on to your computer; either secretly without your permission, as malicious or misidentified files or they are packaged together with a legitimate software program that you are downloading. Spyware runs in the background of your computer without your knowledge (most often) and sends information about your online use and habits to the creator of the Spyware. More in depth information about Spyware can be found at www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/spywarewhat.mspx
To help prevent any Spyware being downloaded on your computer and to prevent any existing Spyware in communicating with its host, an Anti-Spyware program is available to all Mediacom Online users FREE of charge as part of the Mediacom eTrust Security Suite. Go to the Internet Security page of the Mediacom web site to download the suite of products. You will then have the option to install all four programs in the software suite or just the Anti-Spyware.
