Will Mediacom offer a credit to my account if my services are down for a day or two?
Mediacom will issue a credit to customers if their service is down for more than 24 hours. It is very rare that Mediacom's Services are down anymore but unforseen events such as a cut fiber optic line or a local power outage can cause a short down time for our customers.
If you are experiencing any problems with any of your Mediacom Services, please contact our Customer Service at 1-800-332-0245. They will help you resolve the issue.

A DVR is essentially a computer an it stores the programs that you choose on a hard drive which is in the box. The humming noise that you hear is the hard drive working. Not only does a DVR record and store your favorite shows and movies but it also temporarily records the channel you are watching. The humming sound is the DVR writing the information to its memory. Don't worry about the humming sound. It is a normal sound.
DVR Tips:- Keep your DVR well ventilated. Because your DVR is recording all the time it produces some heat. Do not place any other components (DVD Player, Stereo System, etc.) on top of your DVR.
- Use Series Recordings to schedule your favorite shows to record. This way you never have to search out when your favorite shows are on. Even if they change days or times!

Will Mediacom carry the new Fox Business Network?
Mediacom is currently exploring adding Fox Business Network to our Channel Offerings. Currently Mediacom does not have an agreement with the Fox Networks to provide the Fox Business Network.
