What's the difference between digital cable and normal cable?
"Normal" cable or Family Cable is a service offering from Mediacom that does not require any additional equipment other than a cable ready television set. Digital Cable is a higher lever of service that requires either a Digital Converter from Mediacom or a Cable Card ready television. Digital Cable is where you will find all the premium movie channels, Video On Demand, Pay Per View, etc.

I love my DVR cable box! Can I get a second one for my bedroom TV?
Unfortunately Mediacom limits the number of DVR's in a home to one (1) a the current time. Due to the high demand for DVRs, we try to get everyone who would like a DVR to have one. We hope that we will be able to offer more DVRs to our customers soon.
