Will your analog channels become digital anytime in the future?
Many of the channels are already available digitally, either received via a Mediacom Digital converter or via cable card. But others are not yet. Either in late 2007 or sometime in 2008Mediacom will set aside an entire lineup in which all the channels will be delivered digitally to your home. In which case you will need either a digital converter from Mediacom or a cable card.Find more about Mediacom Family Cable, Digital Cable and other television services at

Why was the Vikings Game on August 31st blacked out?
In St. Peter, MN the Vikings game was on KEYC (CBS) of Mankato for this particular preseason game. KEYC purchased the broadcast rights to exclusively carry the game in the DMA (Designated Market Area) which included St. Peter. In this case both KEYC (CBS - Mankato) and KSTP (ABC - Minneapolis) both had the Vikings preseason game on. Since KEYC held the rights, the KSTP broadcast was blacked out. Mediacom is required by law to back out the KSTP broadcast.Blackouts are more rare today than they have been in the past, but they occasionally do happen with sporting events such as Baseball, Football, Hockey and Basketball.

Mediacom is also in talks with ESPN to bring ESPN Classic to our channel lineup also. More updates to come as more information becomes available.Scott W in Savage, MN

What types of channels will be added to Family Cable in the future?
We are always interested in adding new channels to our Mediacom channel lineup. Expect some movement of channels sometime in 2007 from Family Cable to the Digital Tier and we may be adding some new channels in 2007. These are just a couple of things that Mediacom is looking at for channels movement or additions in the future.Bryan K in Chanhassen, MN
