How do I block adult content on some channels from my kids?
There are a couple of different ways to block content on channels or programs from your children. The easiest way is through your Mediacom Digital Converter by setting up Parental Controls and locking out programs, ratings and/or entire channels. If you don't have a digital converter, certain stations may be able to be blocked with filters installed by a Mediacom Technician. A third way is by utilizing the V-Chip in your television set. Check your television's user manual to find out if your television has a V-Chip and how to activate it.

What's the difference between Pay Per View programs and Video On Demand?
Pay Per View is ordering a program at a certain time, either through your digital box or via customer service. Video On Demand is essentially the same, but instead of waiting for the start time, you can start it when you want. You also can pause, rewind, fast forward and even stop the program in the middle and pick it up right where you left off later. Most On Demand programs are available for a full 24 hours. Which means you can watch what you order as many times as you can in the 24 hour viewing period.
